In an effort to enhance collaboration and discuss key business matters, APKRI recently held a virtual meeting with representatives from Ten Thousand Villages (TTV) USA. The meeting, which took place on Tuesday, April 18, 2024, was attended by key figures from both organizations. It was held on evening at 19.00 Indonesian times and in the morning at 08.00 American times.
From TTV, attendees included Melissa Hand, Naomi, Stacey, Allisa Robert, and Bonny Watts, who joined the meeting remotely. On the APKRI side, participants such as Inung, Ann, Purdadi, Sifud, Athi, and Ely connected virtually to engage in discussions.
Inung as Marketing department was accompanied by Sifud as product development staff guided Melissa in showing many products such as terracotta, coconut palm leaf, coconut wood, glacier product like cup, saucer, etc. There was warm involved talk among them.
The two-hour meeting focused on several agenda items, including a virtual showroom tour, a review of brass testing status, pricing discussions for terracotta batik products, and the introduction of a green wallet initiative for Stacey. Despite the virtual format, the meeting was characterized by lively discussions and a productive exchange of ideas between APKRI and TTV representatives.
The collaboration between APKRI and TTV USA aims to strengthen ties between Indonesian handicraft producers and international markets, fostering mutual growth and development in the handicraft enterprises.
