On February 13, 2025, Apikri, represented by its executives and partnership division, participated in a productive Zoom meeting with WFTO Asia’s Vice President, Tim Straight, and Fah, Secretary of WFTO Asia, from Muangthai, Thailand along with Macquaponic’s owner, Kirk Wallace. The virtual gathering aimed to explore potential collaborations in organic development for agriculture, marking a significant step in fostering sustainable practices.

The meeting commenced with introductions from Apikri, highlighting its extensive export activities since 1992, ranging from timber, bamboo, to batik, and its ongoing partnership initiatives such as the cultivation of sengon trees and various fruits with buyers from the USA. This background underscored Apikri’s commitment to sustainable practices and environmental issues.

WFTO Asia officials expressed admiration for Apikri’s innovative composting methods, which involve utilizing wood waste, leaves, and animal manure. They expressed keen interest in further understanding these fertilization techniques and their potential applications in enhancing organic farming practices across the region.
