Apikri conducted a Zoom meeting with the World Fair Trade Organization WFTO) Global representative on May 22, 2026, to discuss the cooperative’s membership status, which was still listed in the system as “candidate demote.” The online meeting lasted for approximately 45 minutes, from 4:00–5:00 p.m. Indonesian time, or 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Netherlands time.

During the meeting, Rodrigo Allende warmly welcomed the chairperson of Apikri’s board along with Azmi. Rodrigo carefully explained the background of the issue and worked collaboratively to identify practical solutions regarding the membership status. The discussion took place in a positive and constructive atmosphere, reflecting the spirit of cooperation within the global fair trade network.

By the grace of God, the membership status of Apikri was successfully updated from “candidate demote” to “renewal in progress.” This change brought relief and renewed optimism for Apikri as an active member of the international fair trade community.

In addition, Rodrigo expressed his willingness to continue assisting Apikri with membership-related matters as well as other possible challenges in the future. The meeting strengthened communication and mutual trust between Apikri and Global WFTO, while reinforcing Apikri’s commitment to fair trade principles and international cooperation.
