The Department of Manpower (Disnaker) of Bantul organized a two-day capacity-building program on December 5–6, 2025, at Grand Wijaya Hotel and Lawu Green Forest Park, Magetan, East Java. The event, themed Synergy in Harmony,”** brought together 79 participants, including the Head of Disnaker BLKP, mediators, labor inspectors, representatives from the HR Forum of Bantul, and members of labor unions (SP/FPN). The initiative was designed to address previous challenges in communication between HR and workers’ unions, which had often been conducted separately and resulted in differing perspectives and limited alignment.

During the opening session, Head of Disnaker BLKP Agus Yuli Herwanta emphasized that the progress of a company depends on harmonious synergy between workers, HR personnel, and employers. Discussions highlighted the need for HR to go beyond administrative duties and adopt a more aspirational, communicative, and developmental role that bridges management and employees. Speakers also underscored ongoing issues in some workplaces, where employers still hold outdated perceptions, viewing workers as disposable or undermining the independence of labor unions. Participants reaffirmed that labor unions are legally protected entities whose active participation is essential for balanced negotiations and the creation of fair industrial relations

The program concluded with a call for stronger collaboration within the Industrial Relations Tripartite Pillar—workers, companies, and the Manpower Office. Disnaker stressed the importance of building mutual trust and equality to achieve industrial harmony in Bantul. The Head of Disnaker also reminded participants of the upcoming major agenda: the formulation of UMP–UMK and the strict enforcement of wage structures in accordance with regional regulations. On the second day, all participants took part in an outbound activity at Lawu Green Forest, reinforcing teamwork and strengthening relationships among stakeholders.
