Bantul – Indonesia- Apikri successfully passed the initial curation stage for the planned participation in the KOFURN exhibition in South Korea. As a follow-up to the selection process, Apikri joined an online Zoom meeting with the Trade Attaché and representatives of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in South Korea on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. The meeting was attended by 16 prospective exhibition participants from various regions in Indonesia who are preparing to showcase their products at the international furniture and handicraft exhibition.

During the meeting, each participant was given a special opportunity to introduce their products and discuss their export experience directly with the organizers and representatives from the Indonesian trade office in South Korea. The discussion focused on the types of products to be displayed, the participants’ export readiness, as well as their commitment to supporting the exhibition process. Apikri presented its various handcrafted products and shared its experience in exporting Indonesian handicrafts to international markets over the years.

In the session, the Trade Attaché explained that the support provided by the Indonesian representatives in South Korea would mainly cover booth facilities, simple booth design, and exhibition space arrangements. Meanwhile, participants would be responsible for transportation, accommodation, and shipment costs of the exhibition products to and from South Korea. Representatives from Apikri stated that the opportunity to participate in KOFURN would become an important step to expand market access and strengthen the promotion of Indonesian handicraft products in the global market.
