Yogyakarta, Indonesia – On November 23, 2024, Apikri conducted a session on the potential of Batik for international export as part of the second day of the UPT Operator Technical Training from Southeast Maluku Regency. The session, held at Apikri’s Omah Kayu, was attended by seven enthusiastic participants and featured key speakers from Apikri and collaborating organizations.
The chairperson of Apikri’s management board, shared her experiences in promoting Batik to international markets. She highlighted the strategies for enhancing the export potential of traditional crafts and discussed the global demand for authentic and eco-friendly products. Additionally, a representative from the Yogyakarta UPT shared insights on effective management and operational strategies for developing local craft industries.
Dwi Suharyanto, another key speaker, provided practical knowledge about the main materials, tools, and equipment essential for Batik production. The comprehensive session equipped participants with valuable insights and actionable ideas for fostering the growth of Batik industries in Southeast Maluku. Apikri’s commitment to empowering local stakeholders through knowledge-sharing and collaboration was well-received by the attendees.
