On January 2, 2025, three staff members from Apikri undertook a visit to a fruit and tree nursery in Purworejo, Central Java. The journey, which took approximately two hours from Apikri’s office, was aimed at evaluating potential vendors to support a replanting program in collaboration with one of Apikri’s buyers from the United States. The visit marked a significant step in ensuring the program's success through the selection of high-quality planting materials.

During the visit, the team gathered essential information regarding the quality of fruit seedlings such as durian and avocado, as well as sengon tree saplings. They assessed the nursery's capacity to meet the program’s standards in terms of seedling quality and sustainability practices. The discussions also covered planting techniques, fertilization methods, and maintenance strategies to ensure optimal growth and productivity of the plants.
