On Friday afternoon, September 18, 2026, Apikri warmly welcomed an unexpected international visitor from Georgia named Joe. Originally born in England and currently vacationing in Yogyakarta, Joe arrived at the showroom by motorcycle taxi after actively searching for authentic local souvenirs for a friend back home.

During his visit, Joe showed a strong interest in a woven rattan bag sample originating from Kalimantan displayed in the showroom. Accompanied by the Chairperson of the Board and two operational staff members, he spent considerable time chatting, learning about the crafts, and discussing the stories behind the handmade products.

Although Joe initially planned to purchase the rattan bag, the transaction could not be completed because APIKRI's payment system does not currently support credit or debit card processing. Despite missing the sale, the team happily provided him with official business cards so he could introduce APIKRI's sustainable crafts to people in his home country.
