In a significant development, Athi' Munzilah, representing from Apikri, took part in the M21 Pokja meeting held at Crystal Crown Hotel in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, from January 21 to 23, 2024. The gathering brought together 21 partners collaborating with M21 to discuss the project's accountability for 2023, outline plans for 2024, and discuss on the draft proposal for 2025-2028.
The meeting served as a platform for M21, the project's funding body, to inquire about the outcomes and impacts of the initiatives on its beneficiaries, both direct and indirect. This allowed the partners, including Apikri, to share their experiences, evaluations, and contributions made during the past year.
Apikri, serving as a consulting partner for M21 since 2018, has played a pivotal role in supporting LK3, GKE, and GKPI. The partners sought guidance from Apikri on sustainable empowerment strategies for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Athi' Munzilah expressed delight in witnessing the success story of LK3 and GKE, particularly the establishment of the Jelujur Banua Bawarna Cooperative (JBB) after five years of collaboration.
Inspired by Apikri's approach, the partners adopted activities such as training, marketing, production, and raw material cultivation to empower SMEs. The cooperative's success stands as a testament to the effectiveness of Apikri's guidance in fostering sustainable growth and development within the industry.(elw)
