The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Agung Rahmat from the Department of Cooperatives and Trade of Bantul District, representatives of the outgoing board from the 2021-2023 period, and also representative members of Apikri.

In her speech, the Chairman of the Apikri Supervisory Board, Esti Heru Prastiyanti, congratulated the newly elected board members and expressed her hope for Apikri to improve upon its previous achievements. Prior to this, the Department of Cooperatives and Trade also congratulated the newly inaugurated board, expressing their hope for Apikri to become a strong cooperative in Bantul and even in Indonesia.

During the ceremony, a handover of duties took place, with the outgoing chairman, Kemiskidi, handing over the reins to the new chairman. The previous board consisted of Kemiskidi as chairman, Yogo Kumolo as treasurer, and Wibawa as secretary. The new board for the 2024-2026 period includes Ely Widayati as chairwoman, Athi Munzilah as secretary, and Artati Sri Rejeki as treasurer.

In her speech, the newly appointed chairwoman expressed gratitude for being elected and saw it as a mandate from the members to lead Apikri to greater heights. She highlighted the challenges ahead, particularly in continuously training the human resources of Apikri, including artisans, staff, and members. Additionally, she mentioned challenges from buyers who impose strict conditions on handicraft products, including quality, guarantees, damaged products, intellectual property rights, and others.

In her closing remarks, she called on all stakeholders to take concrete actions, not just words and ideas. She emphasized that the success of the board would not be achieved by one person alone but through the active participation of everyone involved in Apikri.
