On Friday, December 27, 2024, Yanti Sukamta, a long-time employee of Apikri, passed away after battling an illness for approximately a year. Yanti had been a pivotal figure at Apikri, dedicating her career to the organization from 1990 to 2024. Throughout her tenure, she held various key roles, including positions in marketing, as director, and in development.

She passed away at the age of 56, leaving behind her husband, two children, and a grandchild. Her contributions to Apikri were widely recognized, and she was known for her tireless efforts to support artisans and promote fair trade practices. Her leadership and dedication will be greatly missed.

The funeral took place in Plembutan, Jetis, Bantul, where she was laid to rest. Prayers accompany her departure, with hopes that Allah forgives her sins and grants her a place in His eternal care. Rest in peace, Yanti Sukamta.
